第五次中国中东欧国家高级别智库会议即将于马其顿时间2018年10月30-31日在马其顿首都斯科普里举行。
中国社会科学院副院长王京清、外交部中国-中东欧合作办特别代表霍玉珍、马其顿总理扎埃夫、马其顿国务秘书迪莫夫斯基等出席将出席会议并发表讲话，中国社会科学院与马其顿科学与艺术学院将在开幕式上签署合作协议。

As an important platform of cooperation and communication between China and CEEC, “16+1 Cooperation” expanded the scale of China-CEEC cooperation, and strengthened the interconnection among those 17 countries. This panel session will mainly concern about how to consolidate this platform and innovatively develop its mechanism of exchange and cooperation in order to promote the China-CEEC Cooperation to be more practical, efficient and stable in the future development of “16+1 Cooperation”.“16+1 Cooperation” is as well an important platform of the “Belt and Road” Initiative and of China-EU comprehensive strategic partnership. Meanwhile, the CEEC brought up with a number of policies and development strategies in responding to “16+1 Cooperation”. This panel session will also shed some lights on the topics of how China and CEEC will cooperate under the framework of the “Belt and Road” Initiative, and how “16+1 Cooperation” could synergize with the “Belt and Road” Initiative and the development strategies of CEEC.

China and CEEC enjoy strong economic complementarities and great potential for cooperation and wide space for expanding bilateral trade and mutual investment. The trade and investment cooperation have long been a focal point of “16+1 Cooperation”, and achieved obvious progress and remarkable success. The financial cooperation has been promoted steadily and orderly since the launch of “16+1 Cooperation”, offering strong financial support for China-CEEC Cooperation. This panel session will focus on how China and CEEC could further promote infrastructure, agriculture, trade and investment facilitation, stimulate the potentiality of both markets, and develop bilateral trade and investment by using financial instruments.

“16+1 Cooperation” has achieved remarkable progress in several sub-regional cooperation in CEE. Local cooperation became one of the main highlight points of “16+1 Cooperation”. In recent years, the cooperation between China and Visegrád Group, China and the Baltic countries, China and the western Balkan countries raised public concern. This panel session will pay attention to analyze how “16+1 Cooperation” will deepen and enrich sub-regional cooperation, and achieve innovations and developments of regional cooperation in diplomatic practices.
